These gloves are NOT sapper (aka SAP) gloves, which are also known as weighted knuckle gloves. The hard knuckle portion of the XG-TG2 Hard Knuckle Tactical Gloves are typically made with thermoplastic rubber (TPR), a lightweight substance that offers excellent abrasion resistance and weather resistance.
